Practical software guides
A trusted domain helps a visitor find the right organisation. It does not verify the visitor’s identity or authority. A branded form and a status page alone cannot do that work.
| Step | Control |
|---|---|
| Find the service | Established domain and clear contact details |
| Initial enquiry | Minimal contact and task description |
| Sensitive documents | Separate approved secure channel if actually required |
| Authority needed | Independent verification before protected action |
| Staff follow-up | Assigned access; retained approval and delivery status |
| End of task | Approved retention and deletion handling |
For an ordinary enquiry, do not request a passport, bank statement or medical record. If the task later requires identity or authority, explain the approved method and purpose. A link in an email is not enough to establish who may see a document.
Test a forwarded status link, an unauthorised staff account and a failed submission with text already entered. Measure complete legitimate enquiries and errors separately. The public-form security guide covers abuse controls. No conversion result or identity-certification claim is made.
