An HR checklist can coordinate travel and induction. It cannot issue a work permit or interpret permission to work. Remove assumptions about faster approvals and use the actual issued authority, conditions and dates.

As checked on 2 October 2026, the Bahamas Department of Immigration short-term permit guidance describes applications for work lasting 1–90 days, expressly limits this category to emergency situations and generally one-time issuance, and says applications should be submitted before arrival. Confirm the applicable category and current requirements directly; this article does not provide an immigration eligibility decision.

A status labelled “approved” is insufficient if the document is missing or its conditions have not been reviewed. Keep passport and medical documents away from an ordinary team calendar; expose only the necessary readiness status. HR/legal specialists must review the real workflow. No permit-reform claim, guaranteed approval time or legal entitlement is asserted.
