Practical software guides
A short-stay rental team needs to know whether the property is ready for the next guest, not merely whether a booking exists. Start with a turnover view connected to the existing PMS.
| Task | Staff view | Owner view |
|---|---|---|
| Checkout confirmed | PMS booking and actual checkout | Turnover in progress |
| Cleaning | Assigned cleaner; restricted access instructions | Expected readiness time |
| Maintenance | Leak reported; technician and evidence | Delay and approved update |
| Release | Responsible staff verify readiness | Ready only after confirmation |
Keep door codes, guest details and staff notes out of the owner-facing summary unless specifically authorised. A channel manager remains the authority for the inventory it manages; a second calendar must not independently sell the same night.
Try existing PMS task features and notification settings first. Integrate a missing owner report next. Build when a specific task or permission cannot be supported. Test a late checkout, a maintenance hold and an out-of-order booking update. Measure confirmed readiness and missed-turnover incidents; this specimen claims no operating result.
