Practical software guides
A repair-package app can coordinate paperwork, but it cannot establish vessel safety or approve technical work. Scope it around documents and decisions reviewed by qualified yard personnel.
| Object | Example |
|---|---|
| Work scope | Replace a named component under reviewed specification revision 2 |
| Parts | Part reference, supplier confirmation and delivery dependency |
| Variation | Additional work proposed; separate price and technical approval |
| Subcontractor | Assigned work only; restricted drawings |
| Closeout | Qualified sign-off and matched supporting documents |
A mobile worker may lose connectivity before uploading photos. Show pending upload clearly and keep the original timestamp distinct from server receipt time. Do not mark technical sign-off complete while its evidence is still queued.
Try the existing yard-management system’s work-order and variation features first. A small integration for document matching may be cheaper to maintain than another package database. Review safety, insurance and classification requirements with specialists. This synthetic package does not demonstrate Caynetic shipyard experience.
