The Bahamas Needs More Software, Not Just More Businesses

A Caribbean software mission grounded in current product links and honest demo, beta and development status.

Caribbean builders and community

The Bahamas and the Caribbean need people who can create and maintain useful software, alongside businesses that use it well. Local ownership means understanding the problem, making deliberate technology choices and staying accountable after launch.

Explore something concrete

  • Caynetic Shop explains retail/payment workflows. Its public demo uses fictional records and Stripe test mode, not real merchant payments.
  • Caynetic Counsel explains a professional-services workflow with a fictional demo; it supplies no legal services.
  • Serve the Cays is a community discovery project.
  • Catch Da Bus is in development; its landing page is not a verified live journey planner.
  • Caynetic OSS provides public open-source project links.

The original post discussed a directory being built. This revision does not announce that directory as launched or invent submission criteria. For current offerings and status, use the project collection and each product’s own page.

For builders and buyers

Builders can share a public product link and explain who it serves, what works now and what remains a prototype. Buyers should ask about maintenance, export, privacy, support and the local workflow the product actually supports. A regional name alone is not proof of those capabilities.

Our journal will favour real build decisions, practical buying/integration guides and community learning. The internal CRM story is the kind of honest account we want more of.
