An itinerary can become incorrect between quotation and travel. Keep supplier facts versioned, and distinguish a change to a future offer from a change affecting an existing booking.

Fictional supplier change
EventSystem response
Boat supplier changes departure 09:00 to 10:00Create offer version 3 with the supplier source and effective date
Website offer uses version 2Hold new sales until the displayed time is checked
Confirmed booking uses version 2Staff review transfer and guest consequences
Guest notice requiredApproved message; record delivery and unresolved contact
Supplier later reverses changeCreate a new version; retain both decisions

Connect the PMS, booking engine and supplier channel only through supported interfaces. A staff note is not evidence that the website changed. Verify each affected surface and show failures instead of silently declaring everything synchronized.

Use deterministic checks for time, currency, availability and quoted total. If AI drafts the explanation, a person checks the supplier source and booking before sending. See the quote verification example. Prices, cancellation terms and entitlements require the actual supplier/customer agreement; the example supplies no universal travel rule.
